Hi! I'm Jay.

I'm a Los Angeles-based filmmaker who believes every creative decision, from a line of dialogue to the color of a coffee mug, has the power to shape a story. I move between writing, directing, and art department work because, to me, they're all part of the same creative process. Regardless of what hat I'm wearing, I'm always thinking about how every detail on screen is an opportunity to reveal something.

As a writer and director, I'm drawn to intimate stories, quiet tension, and ideas that linger. As a production designer, I love solving visual problems, creating spaces with personality, and collaborating to make someone else's vision feel tangible.

When I'm not on set, I'm probably making new playlists, hunting down a killer soft pretzel, or finding a new adventure to go on with friends. I've found that good movies, good music, and new experiences all reward paying attention.
